Watching NWD7 while having breakfast in the car at PCP.

This is another line thats hard to remember, but, it's a fast, steep drop down to a right hander & you've gotta stop quick or you hit a fence.

Callander Park is in the middle of Falkirk, it's council owned, but, there are dirt-Jumps if you can find them.

Polmont Woods is a Falkirk Council run area & they don't like people building anything there, so, don't! It's not worth your time & effort.

If you want to build stuff, head over to Carron Valley on a Saturday morning around 10am & help the folks there do some work on their fine Sanctioned Trails.

Plean Co. Park is a Stirling Council run park which is frequented by dog walkers & family groups, so be nice & slow down for the little tikes & doggies, It's our duty to give a good impression of us Dirt Bags.

The Miners Helmet.

Kinneil Woods

We sometimes head here if we've not got a lot of time or just fancy a change from the other local stuff.

Again it's a Council run woods, but, some things seem to get left, but, not the North Shore type stuff, that got ripped down, Shame!

Very Local woods

'Secret' trail

We headed up to our Secret trail, but it has been knocked down by someone who doesn't seem to care, oh well, now there is a nice fast & twisty trail that is even more fun....

This is Surf Railing a flat turn on 'Secret'.

We took some video footage & it was so funny that we all had to watch it a good few times to see it all (it's less than 5 mins long).

Yes, we have a 'Secret' trail & we intend to keep it that way (unless you find it by accident), But, if you do find it, could you please take your rubbish home with you, Surf - Webmaster said....

"We don't intend on being 'Snobby' about it, but, we have had to take a fair few bin liners away with us, due to other people leaving rubbish laying around, we don't want to leave a mess & don't see why we should get the blame for other's who do"

He went on to say "Yes, our trail is not official & we can't legaly do anything about the rubbish, but, if you know 'Trail Etiquet' you wont leave rubbish, The council will knock down the trail if there is enough people complaining about rubbish, so don't do it please."

So here are some pictures of the trail he is on about (minus the rubbish)....

This is the 1st drop on a line of two....

As you can see from this picture, it's a bit of a switchback from drop #1 to drop #2, but you gotta watch out in the left hander as there is a big rock on the obvious line....

Here is drop No.2....

Here's Surf laying a rock garden, it's not finished yet so try not to ride it please....

After a few hours searching for suitable rocks, all we had to show for it was this....

This is the garden so far, as you can see, we use our own tools & take them home with us.

We found Stevie somewhere to show off his skills....Foot Plant to 180 out, Very Nice Man!

But, his 'Fufanu' turned into a 'Fufanot'....hehehe

The woods are lovely at this time of year, it's a lot easier to see the way the trails go.

As they aren't man made per-say, they are made by dog walkers & such, due to this, it has this lovely natural feel to it.

Rear wheels searching for grip under inches of fallen pine needles & finding it just in time, taking corners like it's your last day on earth & it's the most beautiful winters day, mild, slightly damp under foot, with a clarity in the air that only getting out of town gives you.

It is only 5mins out of town, but, it's just far enough to forget it's there. That's until you climb upto the top & all you can see is Grangemouth in all it's glory or gloom, it depends on your point of view I suppose?

Today was the best day in ages, even if it was only 5mins from my house. It just shows you that it doesn't always need to be miles away & take hours to get there, remember what you started out on & where you went before you became a big trail shredder, remember your roots, never forget them!

Keep the dream alive - Never stop Shredding!

Plean Co. Park

I headed over to Plean for a blast on my Big Hit for a wee change & I had a blast, even if the small trickle of a burn was in full flow as a rather large river, needles to say I got a bit dirt on me....

Can you see a bit....?

This is me up the back side of the woods known as the bing, there is a line just on my right that only I know about (well apart from Leon) as I've still to show the lads.

I will be there next Sunday (27th) if anyone want's to have a good blast in the wet muddy woods (that's if it's stopped pouring down). This is what my face looked like after my mucky day...

What a dirty boy eh?

Oh, Leon is a bloke I almost ran into at the bottom of a nice run, he hasn't been into MTBing for long & asked me where the route I'd just done started, but, as I tried to explain, it came to me, that trying to give directions to someone who's never been there before is a tad difficult, so I just showed him.

Hope you had as much fun as me Leon!

See you again!

Callander Park, Falkirk

I know it doesn't say 'woods' in it, but, there are tree's & if you take a walk up the back of the 'tree's' there's a nice drop-off...

It's nothing like Inners, but, if you haven't done a drop bigger than a curb, it's a step in the right direction.
